A Royal Wedding in the land of Temples
To my Daughter –
“If I could give you just one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes. Only then would you see how truly special you are to me”
How often would one witness a doting mother, dedicate a story to her daughter, as a tribute for her most special day – the WEDDING! This Bride’s Blog is an excerpt reference from a mother’s heartwarming story…
Meet Sivani who is the eldest among the siblings. Sivani is a fresh-out-her-wedding bride, and her mother had much to illustrate. Apple of her mother’s eye and a hailing graduate from the prestigious Indian School of Business, Sivani originates from Chennai.
Sivani now brought in the first son-in-law of the house, and the wedding was round the corner for Abhishek and Sivani! The first daughter’s wedding in Indian households are always a grand affair, and so was the case here as well. Abhishek, a charming lad, was much favored and loved by the family, and they could not have found a more apt suitor for their prized first daughter!
Monsoon Betrothal (engagement, i.e.) that it was, the couple had only 90 full days to plan and execute their grand wedding.
“I wish I was more involved in the wedding planning” – Said No Husband Ever. An onus of a lifetime on Sivani’s shoulders, she had her benchmarks and set expectations for every single element for the wedding, not settling for anything less than what was preset.
Sarees – a primary component for South Indian Weddings and the beacon of tradition, Sivani had imaginatively sculpted her bridal look for each event of her Big Fat Indian Wedding. For the Pellikuthuru a.k.a Haldi Ceremony, she opted to be adorned in hues of yellow silk, coupled by a peacock themed blouse. Incorporating and fusing the traditional North Indian Sangeet ceremony of weddings, this ritual brings about a memorable frolic element to wedding rituals- and so did Sivani! She sported beautiful ensembles of bridal Lehengas for both Sangeet and her Mehendi. For the D Day, Sivani looked priceless in her regal bridal Pink silk creation.
The Big Fat Telugu Wedding of Sivani and Abhishek went on a week long, and was hosted at various venues across Chennai- Radisson blu City center and Taj Coromandel. All Wedding Events were planned by the Marriage Colors Team, who worked meticulously alongwith the Bride and Groom to stage their dreams to reality. The Wedding was captured through the lenses of Studio A and Rakesh Prakash Photography. They worked their cameras away to create a montage of the some of the best moments through the grand wedding.
Not only this, all events of the wedding was themed through different color schemes- Roses and Lilies decked the Sangeet through and through, whereas marigolds glimmered the Pellikuthuru function. With a starry Sangeet planned and designed by Marriage Colors, the Mehendi was a sphere of pink and orange for all eyes.
Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a FAIRYTALE. With this, ThePhotographersBlog.Com Team wishes Sivani and Abhishek a lifetime of joy and happiness!
